Sound On provides new listeners with a USB memory stick player if needed, which may be a new or a tested 2nd hand player. These are donated to listeners for their use in listening to Sound On Newspapers and Magazine editions. Sound On will provide support to the extent that if a player fails, Sound On will exchange it with a tested/working device.
Listeners may also use the players to listen to other recorded material such as talking books or other talking newspapers, but Sound On cannot provide help or support related to this use.
The availability of suitable players varies over time. Currently Sound On has three legacy players in use provided by Kings Access Technologies (no longer trading), and two others in current production, one from RNIB and one from Synapptic. See our page about players here.
